Sample database

This is a database of all Blyth’s Reed warbler samples I have managed to collect from different recordings over the years. Each sample is some bird mimicry, so I want to have a dedicated page for myself and others too who are curious what mimics BRWs have!
When I record a BRW song and later listen through to clean up, I notice many samples they share. Sometimes I hear same sample different way and later I find out I had duplicates and then I got confused.
To make things easier for me, I have a specific sound and onomatopoeia for each audio so i know exactly what sound that is supposed to be!

How it works

Each audio has an onomatopoeia image I tried to match closest to the sound. I try to replicate the sound with my mouth until bird sound and my sound are the closest sounding possible. If there is a variant of a similar style sound, the button has a small corner saying “var”.
Some bird sounds can sound different each time you hear depends how you hear it (iido and viido, sisiklee, isikee and sisikee), so I have made an universal sound which always means that specific type of sound. Otherwise stuff will get ultra complicated 😀

I group each sound into ABC like groups and add a bird mimicry when I find out who the original bird sound is
.
Some onomatopoeia is simplified when there is a hard word to onomatopoeia (Like is it tsäu, tsät,tsvät or tvät, so I simplify it to something universal like tsäup) If there is a lot of similar sounding sounds, such as the tiniest sounds “tk, pt, tik. tek, tsk, tik, ” I add some extra characters (Such as tuk is tukk when the sound sounds powerful. Or Tö is töh when the ending feels like it has a small “h” to differate it from “tö” or “vö”
The amount of characters on “tsi” “tsii” and “tsiii” also have a meaning, it means how long that specific part sounds the amount of “ii” it has

Some sounds have added parts in it to show the tone of the sound changing such as “üüä” or “jüö” “öjöj” and “-” when there is a small pause between word like “jüöö-di”
